What injection moulding capacity is used for

Injection moulding produces plastic parts in large quantities with consistent quality: housings, caps, clips, gears and technical functional parts. Buyers look for free machine time mainly when an existing mould is to be transferred or the current supplier cannot deliver.

What matters on an injection moulding machine

Clamping force has to match the projected area of the part, shot weight the part weight. Tie-bar spacing and mould height decide whether the mould fits the machine at all. Multi-component parts, inserts or cleanroom production need the matching equipment.

Frequently asked questions

Can I bring an existing mould?

As a rule, yes. State mould dimensions, weight, number of cavities, material and shot weight in your request so the shop can check whether it fits the machine.

What does clamping force tell me?

It keeps the mould closed against the injection pressure. The larger the projected area of the part, the more clamping force is needed. It is given in tonnes or kilonewtons; 100 tonnes are roughly 1,000 kN.

Is one of your machines idle next week?

List it before the week stays empty.
